Ellie’s Table

For the month of August, a series of guest posters will be filling in on DWL with daily posts. Today’s posts come to you from designer Jason Johnson of Nomadic. For more from Jason, be sure to follow him on Dribbble. Enjoy!

For quite a few months I’ve been following Brian Rau and the work he’s been doing for the soon-to-open Ellie’s Table. Ellie’s Table is a bakery and cafe located in San Clemente, California. It was created as a tribute to Eleanor Mastroianni, wife of Jay Mastroianni, who started the cooking behind Jay’s Catering and passed along her recipes. The vast collection of elements Brian has created for this project is really impressive. Custom type, line-art and subtle texture make this one tasty brand for sure.
