Yesterday Monotype’s new font rental service, SkyFonts, officially came out of beta and released publicly. The service gives users access to over 8000 fonts, allowing them to try any font for free for up to five minutes within any desktop application or spend credits to rent fonts for as long as they’re needed. I haven’t had a chance to try it out myself yet, but it certainly seems like an intriguing concept. There’s been lots of times I’ve wanted to try out a typeface in a design concept before purchasing, so I could see this coming in handy in the future. Sign up for your own account right here.
