Ben Whitla: Mapkin Identity

Ben Whitla recently developed the identity for Mapkin, an app that combines turn-by-turn GPS with human storytelling, by allowing the user to “create a navigation guide with the best route, a great looking map, and personalized voice instructions.” What a great idea.

Ben developed the icon, logo, color scheme and typography as part of The Brand Hack, “a lean accelerated eight-hour innovation sprint,” culminating in a style guide for the team’s internal use. Erik Weikert then took the reigns on the web mockups used for implementation. Mapkin is now available as a free download in the app store, so be sure to take a look.
