Raising Startup Capital

Tonight, April 15th, 6:00PM–7:30PM / $35
This series will help students understand term sheets, initial rounds of investment, and how to retain value and control. We’ll also discuss what to do with that money once you have it so you can create exit opportunities and potential for future funding.
One of the most critical issues facing entrepreneurs is deciding if and when it makes sense to raise outside capital. Access to capital cannot only help accelerate product development and sales, but in many cases, partnering with the right investors can influence the trajectory of a business.

Storytelling Skills: Wow Your Crowd

Tonight, April 15th,  8:00PM–9:30PM / $30 
In this class, students will learn the two essential elements of stories, the difference between stories and “story-ish” information, how to apply the Six Senses to create emotional resonance, how to shape a narrative across the trajectory of five beats, and how to zero in on and shape a narrative around one selling point.

Social Media Bootcamp

Tuesday, April 16th, 7:00PM–10:00PM / $55 
This 3-session series introduces students to the current social media landscape and explores how it can be used for maximum results (for brands as well as agencies). Participants will leave with a detailed understanding of both the current social media landscape and how to evaluate which tools or social platforms are the best fit for their organization’s strategic goals.

Design Gym

Starting Friday, April 19th, 7:00PM–9:30PM / $250  (multiple sessions)
In this class you will learn concepts and efficient ways of design thinking on solving real world problems and more. The Design Gym puts people at the center of problems and solutions. Their Weekend Workout is two and a half intense days of collaborating and learning a process for creative problem solving. They believe in the power of experience based learning, encouraging environments, and as few slides as possible.

DSLR 101

Sunday, April 21st, 1:00PM–5:00PM / $65
Students will learn how to benefit from the greater power, versatility and precision of digital SLR cameras.
The DSLR 101 workshops will offer 4 hours of instruction for people who have stepped up to a digital SLR camera or are planning to make the move.
Instructors will also provide tips on building a camera/lens system that suits their special individual interests.
