Fred Schaub: BurdgeCooper Holiday Card and Gift Tags

This colorful holiday card was created for LA-based printer BurdgeCooper by CT-based designer Fred Schaub. The set of engraved and stamped cards were each produced on three different colors of paper, and accompanied by a set of a dozen striped and foil stamped gift tags. Very festive!

Some thoughts from the designer:

The concept was to produce a card with the message of joy, and that later developed into the message of ‘very merry’. We were initially inspired by the idea of candy canes, because a candy cane is a very traditional symbol of the holidays, yet the diagonal stripe pattern has quite a bold and modern look. Incorporating specialty printing processes, like foil stamping, that would highlight BurdgeCooper’s capabilities, and utilizing papers and colors that would add to the festive feel were significant considerations for the design.
