If you’re in the New York area or plan on visiting in the next few months, I definitely recommend checking out the New York City waterfalls, the latest project from Olafur Eliasson and the Public Art Fund. Opening today and on display thorough October 13th, the four man-made falls are set up at 4 different sites along the city’s shores. In a recent New York Magazine profile, Eliasson said of the project: “It’s about making water explicit…falling water, it makes a sound, it engages a whole different range of senses. You see gravity.”
I can’t wait to check them out myself. Find more background information, visiting instructions and lots more images right here.
