If you haven’t heard of Woot, it’s a site that follows the “deal-a-day” format, where every day they put one product up for sale until it sells out. The success of this inital site led to the creation of wine.woot, sellout.woot and shirt.woot. Which brings me to the promotion part. One of my web developers and fellow designers (and also boyfriend) won first place in this week’s shirt design contest, “Create a Symbol for an Imaginary Country”. As a result his shirt is currently up for sale—$10 today and $15 thereafter. So if you’re in the market for an ultra-nerdy shirt, head on over and pick one up!
