First, I have to stop for a second and recognize that this is the 100th Type Love post! How that is possible is beyond me—the last 100 weeks have completely flown by. The most shocking thing about that though is probably the fact that my type collection hasn’t grown exponentially in that time. Don’t get me wrong, it has grown. But with the amount of type I’m obsessing over on any given day, it should be a whole lot bigger than it currently is.
So back to the task at hand. This elegant and powerful serif is a new Font Bureau release by Cyrus Highsmith. Ibis Display (also check out Ibis Text) was heavily influenced by both Walbaum and Melior.
