Allan Peters designed this poster as part of Artcrank 2012, a Minneapolis-based event that features hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by 40 Twin Cities artists. His piece grew out of a love for “badges, crests and vintage type lock-ups” and inspiration from the vintage air museum he recently visited in Alabama (read more about his process here), resulting in a lock-up of 12 badges representing fictive MPLS Bike Gangs.
Prints of each piece will be available at the show, with all proceeds going to Springboard for the Arts, a non-profit dedicated to cultivating a “vibrant arts community by connecting artists with the skills, contacts, information and services they need to make a living and a life.” The event is coming up soon on April 14th—get all the details right here.
