Though I don’t live there any longer, being a Queens resident for almost ten years means it will always hold a special place in my memory, which is why Paul Soulellis‘s Queens typeface immediately caught my eye. The result of a ten-week introduction to typeface design course in the Type@Cooper program, the in-progress Queens was inspired by found letterforms painted onto the side of a truck (see below) parked outside his Long Island City studio. Paul’s made his entire presentation available for browsing so be sure to take a look.
