States of Matter: Rivet & Sway Packaging

States of Matter recently designed this lovely packaging program for Rivet & Sway, an online shopping boutique selling women’s prescription glasses. Unfortunately I don’t need a pair, because I’d love to check these out all of the interactive design details in person. Here’s a few more details about the shop and the team’s approach to the project:

Rivet & Sway is an online shopping boutique focused exclusively on women’s prescription glasses. With their own line of high-end frames and an experience that mirrors a favorite boutique, Rivet & Sway makes buying specs online, easy and fun with free home try-ons and free delivery of your chosen Rx glasses.

To punctuate the boutique store experience, we designed the home try-on and the final Rx packaging to be a multi-layered gift.  To echo the name Rivet & Sway, we used metal, wax string and craft paper and contrasted it with flowing graphics and calligraphy.

The first package, the home try-on box, contains 3 pairs of frames with instructions and is designed so it’s easy for the customer to reseal the box and then drop off at their nearest mail box.
