Well, hello there! Monday sure snuck up on me quickly this week, but I just wanted to start off the day with a few quick updates:
ADVERTISING:
I realize advertising in the context of a blog tends to polarize people. Everyone has their own opinion, and usually it’s a strong one, no matter which direction it reaches. And while I appreciate those who oppose advertising in this forum, it’s a matter of fact that dwl takes quite a bit of time and money to run. So inserting a little bit of advertising seems to be the next, logical step for us as we continue to expand and improve this blog. This new venture will be a bit of an experiment to start as we figure out what works best. However, I can assure you that dwl will never be a blog plastered with flashing banner ads. We intend to keep this simple—for now, we will have just one ad per month in the sidebar—and it will be a priority to avoid any sort of disruption in your browsing experience.

HEAD VS. HEART
Although I’ve mentioned it from time to time on this blog, I’ve been a little hesitant to directly link to my wedding blog Head vs. Heart, as it’s been more of a personal venture. However, now that our wedding is past it will be the home blog for Seamless Paperie, our sister site where we design wedding and event-related paper goods. hvh will continue to be updated with bits of inspiration and design that pertain specifically to weddings and events, and anything else I find inspiring that may not exactly fit the framework of this blog. Back in June I posted our first Let’s Talk post, a feature that I mentioned would be a recurring column.
